What this Tecno L3 is doing, i doubt if the manufacturers know that their phone can do some of these things, if they knew then the price of this phone would have been very high. Try them and let us know your observations.
1. How to Make screen shot without ROOTING your Tecno L3
There are two buttons to be used in this exercise. The VOLUME DOWN button and the POWER ON/OFF button.
*Hold the VOLUME DOWN button and the POWER ON/OFF button at thesame time and hold for 3 seconds. You will see something like a Snapshot. Go to your GALLERY and see your screen shot there.
If you want to see the screen shots when you connect your L3 to a Computer, connect your phone through USB, go to drive G, click on pictures.
You can do screen shot anytime whether watching LIVE matches on Android or playing PES2012 on Tecno .
2. Setting Blackberry APN in Tecno L3. (Make your Blackberry operate fast)
*Enter SETTINGS
*Click on MORE
*Click MOBILE NETWORK SETTINGS
*Click ACCESS POINT NAMES
*There is a button on the L3 phone (OPTIONS button), It is the last button towards your left on the body of your phone. click on it.
-Click NEW APN
-Put any name in the first box. e.g baba2023
-In the second box APN put blackberry.net
*Click on OPTIONS button again. Then click SAVE.
Go out of there, you can now install droidvpn and enjoy your blackberry subscription. With Tecno L3, you can use DROIDVPN WITHOUT ROOTING YOUR DEVICE !!! I have not rooted my own L3 but I am using Droidvpn now. Make a comment if you want to know how.
3. Turn Off Keyboard Sounds and Vibrations in Tecno L3
When you ON Tecno L3 for the first time, anything you touch will vibrate and make sounds, this will reduce battery life.
*Go to SETTINGS
*Click on AUDIO PROFILES
*Click on GENERAL, you will see the following
Dual Pad touch tones
Touch Sounds
Screen lock sounds
Vibrate and touch
Make sure you remove those blue ticks by the side of each of the four above. Click on the box by their sides and the ticks will disappear.
4. Activate Bluetooth and stop time out on Tecno L3.
When you ON the blue tooth, it is automatically hidden from other devices. Do this:
*Click SETTINGS, Drag the Bluetooth bar to the right to put it ON
*Click on the BLUETOOTH. You will see TECNO L3 "Not Visible to other bluetooth devices.
*Click Once on it and it will change to "Visible to all nearby bluetooth devices.
*You will also notice that the time for the bluetooth to go OFF is running down. In order to stop the bluetooth from OFFING( if it offs you will not be able to receive or send items) do this:
-Click OPTIONS (the last button on your phone towards the left.)
-You will see 4 options there, click on VISIBILITY TIMEOUT.
-Click on NEVER TIMEOUT. It means the bluetooth will never timeout unless you OFF it yourself. That's all.
5. Using Tecno L3 as Modem for Internet Browsing
*Go to SETTINGS
*Click on MORE
*Click TETHERING & PORTABLE HOTSPOT
*Choose either USB, Portable Wifi Hotspot, or Bluetooth tethering. I prefer Portable Wifi Hotspot (your computer must have wireless for it to work)
*If you click on Portable Wifi Hotspot, make sure you click on KEEP WI-FI HOTSPOT ON and select ALWAYS.
You have to set up a Wireless password in Tecno L3 if not somebody will be using your network for browsing free of charge. Do this:
*Click SET UP WI-FI HOTSPOT (Wi-Fi Name)
*Change Network SSID from TECNO L3 to your name e.g Baba2023
*Under SECURITY,choose WPA2 PSK.
* Put your password (at least 8 characters) you can tick the small box below it to show you the password you inserted.
Click SAVE. That is all.

6. Reduce Brightness of Tecno L3
*Enter SETTINGS and click on DISPLAY
*Click BRIGHTNESS and draw the circle towards your left hand side to reduce brightness and conserve battery life.
7. If you want the phone not to go to SLEEP or be in STANDBY MODE quickly, do this:
* Go to SETTINGS, Click on SLEEP and change the duration to either 2, 5, 10 or 30 minutes.
8. View installed Apps on Tecno L3
* Enter SETTINGS, Click APPS
*You will some Apps under downloaded
*To see the ones installed on SD Card, click and hold on the DOWNLOADED bar, then drag towards your left hand side, you will see the Apps on SD Card.
9. Read Pdf and Ms word files
If you check inside an application on your Menu screen, you will see ASSITANT. Click on it to open. Among the apps you see there click on QUICK OFFICE and install it. This app enables you to view pdf, ms word, excel, powerpoint files etc
